GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT AND MAKING A CHANGE

Hope In The Harvest Missions International (HITHMI) has lived up to its name this first half of 2026.  It has been a harvest of God's joy.

Going forward the day-to-day financial involvement of HITHMI with the Liberia International Christian College (LICC) is changing.  When HITHMI began working in Liberia the commitment was for five years. The five years lasted for fourteen years. The Board believes the LICC leadership, and the ARC leadership can manage the operations without financial contribution from HITHMI. As tested the average $8,500 a month operational costs decreased to salaries only at the start of this year ($2,500 a month) and that was managed extremely well. The blessing and good news is the work continues in Liberia at the Agricultural Research Center with the Liberia International Christian College taking a led in the day-to-day activities with oversite from Bill and Holly Sebald and the Agriculture Department.  The Sebald's faithfully serve in the bush extending Farming God's Way and sharing the love of Christ, to working tirelessly in the more populated areas demonstrating what following Jesus really means in business practices.  HITHMI hopes to be a partner in additional agriculture growth and development not only for LICC but graduates of LICC who are faithfully working in the agriculture industry.

Staying on the continent of Africa moving over south and east development is happening in Zimbabwe. In 2025 a trip to build a laying hen operation in Zimbabwe begot this year the building of a Church and Farming God's Way development for the Church of Zengeza with Pastor Sidnye.  Missing luggage brought Travis Sheets and Pastor Sidyne together in 2025.  Pastor Sidyne knew Travis as a farmer, not a church builder.  During the three-hour drive to where Travis would be staying to oversee the layer build Pastor Sidyne shared about his church, the growth, the faithfulness, and love for Christ of the community even though they had no church building in which to meet.  Travis listened never sharing about the work of World Mission Builders (WMB).

Travis returns to the USA, updates the HITHMI board on the trip and that maybe someday WMB could explore the opportunity to build a church in Zengeza.  Justin Trent heard that call and he and his family began to pray about how to proceed.  In January of 2026 a team of 7 headed to Zengeza to build a Church and share Farming God's Way.

Unfortunately, a corrupt contractor caused a major delay that was ultimately used for God's glory.  The roof collapsed as the Church was being built but no one was seriously injured. The corrupt contractor shorted the building specs and the roof was not stable causing the collapse. The contractor was quickly arrested. One of the crew members, Josiah Chagonda, who witnessed this entire mess and wickedness in the work of his boss, also witnessed the love of this mission team, and everyone witnessed the amazing hedge of protection God provided at this job site - this crew member gave his life to Christ and was baptized in the new church.  Yes, the church got finished even though this team did not celebrate the final build on site but look forward to returning and worshiping with the congregation and glorifying Christ.

Further east and south around the globe we continue with the combination of agriculture development and church building in the Philippines.  Many of you follow HITHMI on its Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/HopeintheHarvestMissionsInternational

You know the great work that Pastor Cliff Aureno is doing at Light Camp on the Island of Negros.

Pastor Cliff went to South Africa in November of 2025 and trained under Farming God's Way founder Grant Dryden and David Wotherspoon, it has been life changing. Life changing for Pastor Cliff and his family, life changing for church communities on several islands in the Philippines.  Still in South Africa on December 5th, 2025, Pastor Cliff shares that his experience and training was not just for farming but with his life and ministry, his spiritual life filled up again. On December 8th, Pastor Cliff has submitted a training plan to set up an area for compost and one for a garden as a training and demo center at the Church Camp when Cliff pastors.

The first training was done December 17-19th with 20 people attending.

The second training was vegetable training April 27-29 with 28 people attending.

Since April 27th, a church was built, 3 of people were baptized, and plans for a laying hen operation were created and the facility completed with hens it by May 26th.

Praise the Lord!

God is on the move and what an opportunity to bless Him with Church buildings, new congregants, new agriculture tools, more knowledge and more sharing the Gospel around the world.

HITHMI AT A GLANCE

The purpose of Hope in the Harvest Missions is to seek to cultivate Christ’s hope in underdeveloped and impoverished areas of the world through agricultural and personal transformation. Building on borrowed talent, we seek to impact attitudes and practices that will promote the economic and social well-being of individuals, from a conviction that a changed life results from a Christ-changed heart.

Vision: Generating Christ centered economic growth.

HITHMI began in 2012 working in Liberia. We extend the Gospel through agriculture education using Farming God’s Way.  We teach people to feed their families and if they want to expand we work with them to develop production business agriculture. We do this by running the country's only collegiate based Agriculture Research Center,

teaching Farming God's Way to the poorest of the poor in villages and teaching in a formal education setting on the campus of LICC.
