With a bountiful harvest of thankfulness we greet you from Ganta Liberia
This male tilapia swam up to say hello from his new home. We arrived in Liberia Friday night and early Saturday we made the bumpy journey from Monrovia to Ganta. Life is different here. We stopped at three Ebola checkpoints, each time we washed our hands and had our temperatures tested. We arrived to a wonderful welcome home greeting. The outside of the Ag Center is in decent shape and has been well cared for in our absence in spite of the hardship our friends were under (they are very thin looking) and the fear in which they lived. The stories will make your soul cry as you listen to those who would have rather suffered war then fight an invisible enemy, the Ebola virus. Their fear runs deep along with agony and grief but seeing the mission back here brings HOPE, and thankfulness. We say thank you for covering us in prayer every single step. We still need your strong coverage of prayer; Ebola is not gone. As you enter into your thanksgiving holiday please hear our shouts of thanksgiving for you and your families. We will not celebrate thanksgiving (it is a USA holiday) instead we will be working and putting many people to work but we need your continued support. We can put HOPE back into life by hiring people to build, to plant, to do whatever work we can find for them. Hiring a person, giving them a job returns their dignity; it brings excitement, and restores faith back into fragile lives.
Your contribution of $20.00 will hire one person for seven days of work, allowing them to begin to support their family and renew their hope.
