The student you see in the begining of the video is Sam, and he is usually so quiet and reserved. When he told us he was preparing a song for Agriculture Day, we had no idea what to think but were excited to see what he and his team members would come up with. They not only sang the song themselves, but they got the whole crowd dancing and signing too!! Love their inspriational lyrics and I hope this becomes a song that we are signing for years to come as we work out in the fields together here at the ARC 🙂 "So let us work so very hard, so very hard, so very hard- Liberians! Let's join our hands and come together and tighten our belt and put on our boots and get back to the soil to grow more food- Liberians! So let us work so very hard, so very hard, so very hard- Liberians! Let's get back to the soil and grow more Food to feed our people and feed our nation- Liberians! We suffering too much, we suffering too much- Liberians We suffering too much, we suffering too much- Liberias Let's grow more food- Liberians Let's grow more food- Liberians So let us work so very hard, so very hard, so very hard- Liberians!" ... See more View on facebook 2 years ago Agriculture Day Celebration This past weekend on June 2nd we welcomed over 150 guests to the ARC to celebrate Agriculture Day here at LICC!! The purpose of the event was to showcase everything that we are doing here in the Agricultural Department with the community so that they can come to know the value of education, of LICC, of agriculture, and of youth in Liberia. Students gave tours in the morning all around the ARC and guests were introduced to many new types of animals and crops. Students in the Food Processing and Preservation Class also gave short demonstrations on the work they have been doing in their class and even had lots of products for sale. We also held a short program where students sang their own songs about agriculture that they wrote themselves (videos to come because it was amazingggg) and read inspiring quotes. Lastly, we capped it all of with a few friendly matches of football, kickball, and volleyball with a nearby technical college and students from their agricultural department. What a great day!! ... A really bad storm came through near Monrovia last night that tore the roof off their brand new school building and the lodge, which is a structure they are building to house more missionaries in future. Praise God no one was injured in this mess but prayers for the situation moving forward. ... See more God is to be praised… I am reminded of His light being the very brightest in the darkest of times. I am asking all of you to praise God tonight. Our Hope Academy school roof was completely taken off in a horrendous storm today. Also, the complete lodge roof was taken off. God is to be praised that no one was hurt. All of our teachers and students are fine. This is devastating news to our mission in Liberia. I leave with a small team on Monday and will know more. God is able. Pray for the hearts of our fellow workers in Liberia and for our children. This week I was challenged with a question that popped into my head, "If I had to choose only one which would I choose, provision or The Provider?" We choose The Provider. He is good and He is mighty. Thank you for your prayers. I wonder what glorious plans He has in store. Sam ...
